MediaBoss Television, Boston’s creative video and television production company and recording label, announced today the appointment of Donnie Cavicchi as A&R Director for their label, MediaBoss Entertainment.

“We’re very excited to have Donnie join the MediaBoss team,” Ian Barrett, Creative Director said. “We’re actively looking for bands and musicians to work with and Donnie’s experience and professionalism will be a great asset to us.”

“MediaBoss Entertainment will be rolling out some new features in the coming months and Donnie’s involvement will be critical in their success,” Barrett added. “We’re looking to be a larger presence in the Boston music scene in 2012 and beyond.”

Cavicchi, better known as Donnie X, has been a mainstay in the Boston music scene for more than half his life. His relationship with MediaBoss Audio Boss Jim Foster spans 12 years; Donnie’s band [http://www.facebook.com/wolfbaneband]Wolfbane[/url] has been recording with Foster for as long. Donnie and Barrett’s friendship was forged over ten years ago when the two met on a shoot for Barrett’s rock n’ roll television show, “Real Rock TV.”

“When I heard that Ian and Jim had joined forces at MediaBoss, I couldn’t believe it didn’t happen sooner,” Cavicchi said. “I think the idea of a one-stop shop is great; MediaBoss offers bands an amazing recording, a professional video, album art and marketing support.”

“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience in booking and my relationships to the table to support MediaBoss artists after their product is completed,” Cavicchi added. “My strategy will involve helping bands with their image, social media campaigns, live shows and tours.”
